Greek Paradise

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE STONE

naturally sparkling, pure white, classic stones

All my portraits are painted on stones from The Isle Of Santorini off the Greek coast. If you've ever looked at a picture or have been lucky enough to visit Greece, you've probably seen the all white villages on the islands. Those buildings are made from the same volcanic stone.  All my distributors are in Florida, so the price is dependent on weather and availability.  The stones themselves have great energy!

PERSONALIZATION

All my lettering is written freehand.  I do not use stencils or stickers.  Names can be written on front with black lettering or on the back with a banner. Color choice and font is up to my discretion unless otherwise requested.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How do I get started? A: You can contact me via the quick link to my email or you can instant message me through my Facebook quick link to book your spot.

Q:  What type of photo do you need? A:  The best results come from photos with natural light, close or medium distance and preferably digital. Please understand, I paint what I see. If the photo is too dark, over exposed or a photograph of an old photo, the resulting portrait may not be as detailed.

Q:  How long does it take to create a stone? A:  A single image stone usually takes 5-7 days from start to finish.

Q:  Will this be a photo realistic rendering of my pet? A:  No, my paintings are stylized, meaning I take artistic license when I illustrate your pet.  I try to capture the personality I see in them, so the recipient will know who the painting is of, without question.  However, because I use paint markers, I am limited to my color palette and my ability to blend.

Q: For 2 images on one stone, do they have to be in the same photo? A:  No, I can usually merge two photos to create a double image on one stone.  During the order process, I will ask you to send me your reference photos to determine if I can merge the two.  If I don't feel as though the lighting and/or composition will work, I will ask for other reference photos.

Q: How do I know I'll be happy with my portrait?  A: To ensure you are completely satisfied with your portrait, I will send you two drafts for your to approval before I move to the next step in the process. The first is the pencil sketch, where I can make major or minor corrections. The second approval comes after the paint has been applied but before the sealant has been applied. From here I can make minor corrections.  Once the piece is sealed, I am no longer able to make changes.
Because my work is so stylized, it may be hard to envision the end result.  I highly recommend watching a video or two before ordering.  My paintings are not meant to be photo realistic.  They are meant to show the personality of your pet.

Payment and cancelation policies

Your satisfaction with my portraits is what I aim for.

Since art is subjective, I've had to come up with a payment and cancelation policy.

Payment is required before I am able to fulfill the order, including shipping fees.  I will send an invoice via PayPal right before i am ready to begin your portrait.  I allow for a 24 hour cancelation request, at which time I will apply your refund via the same payment method.  It may take a few days to reflect the refund depending on your bank.
